From e-learning, to group workshops and one-to-one coaching.
TUI Travel development programmes and training tools are designed to match the way you want to learn and grow. With our full support, you could study for a qualification that’s relevant to your role, or complete a secondment in another area of our business.
It all starts with a great induction. You’ll talk to other new staff, meet key people within the business and generally get to grips with TUI and your role. From then, in many ways, your development is down to you.
Planning your own development
If you want to learn a particular skill, behaviour or piece of knowledge, you only have to say. After all, you know better than anyone what it takes to do your job. So we’ll do what we can to help you get the expertise you need. The key is to take responsibility for your development by thinking about your goals, asking for feedback on your performance and talking to your manager and HR about the activities you could try.
While there’s all kinds of fantastic classroom-based and on-the-job training available, TUI also has extensive e-learning resources too. They cover all kinds of areas from IT and safety, to the travel industry and even foreign languages. There’s role-specific training to help you master specific skills involved in your job. And let’s not forget Virtual Ashridge – a wealth of interactive learning sources in a virtual library. Ashridge is a renowned business school that helps people and organisations to be the best. We have a similar partnership with top-ranked business school, IMD. Through the IMD Corporate Learning Network, you have access to a wide range of webcasts, podcasts, articles and leadership videos, in a fully searchable, interactive hub.
Managing your performance
Performance management is about helping each employee understand and recognise their part in contributing to our goals, and then motivating and helping them achieve their full potential. At TUI, Performance and Talent Management is a robust, recognised approach that helps you evaluate your strengths and weaknesses, and build on what you achieve.
