Working in our Luton hangar you will lead a team responsible for carrying out all aspects of on aircraft maintenance on all the Boeing aircraft types currently operated by the TUI Group.Working under a Bay Manager, you will be employed across all maintenance areas and play a key role in maintaining and certifying the TUI fleet. As a fully approved engineer you will co-ordinate all staff within your work area, drawing up a daily work plan to deliver your zone to an agreed schedule with your Bay Manager, taking accountability for the technical integrity of all work carried out under your control.Responsibilities will also include accountability for the conduct, time keeping and H&S ‘duty of care’ of all allocated staff whilst employed within your zone of responsibility, whilst ensuring all current procedures are followed.Your extensive knowledge and experience will be fundamental to the effective use of all resources including the control and oversight of licensed engineers and mechanics working as part of your team. A flexible approach to shift work is essential for this position.
You will be experienced in working within a base maintenance environment, delivering all allocated tasks to both the standards expected and within agreed time scales. Working within a small team you will be tasked to deliver maintenance to support both heavy and light maintenance on all Boeing types operated by the TUI Group.To effectively deliver this role you will need to have a flexible approach with an excellent standard of technical competence.
•EASA Part 66 UK Unrestricted B1& B2 Licence•Type approvals on one or more of the following a/c types:- 737NG, 757, 767, 787•Previous experience in a base maintenance certifying role•Self-motivated•Awareness of H&S requirements in an engineering environment•Complies with current human factor requirements•Good communication skills•Experienced in use of MS IT applications•AMOS experience preferable•Compliant with airside security requirements•Full UK driving licence
