About The Scheme

At A Glance

As a three-year rotational programme, you’ll get the best grounding possible into our business – all of which is designed to set you up as a future financial leader. This means you could be assigned in a number of roles across any aspect of our business. There are five core areas: Retail/Distribution supports our stores; Airline takes care of our planes; Cruise looks after our ships; Tour Operator keeps our holiday finances in check and Reporting and Financial Accounting underpins the bottom-line financials across the business.

What You Will be Doing

From day one you’ll be doing a real job. But we’ll also support you in your personal and professional development to ensure you’re equipped to reach your potential. We’ll fully fund you on your path to attaining a CIMA qualification, including BPP tuition, study materials and additional study leave – after all it’s very much in our interest that you pass.

Our support structure is also exemplary with a buddy to help you settle quickly into your role, a senior finance mentor who’ll pass on vital knowledge and your line manager who’ll help make sure you progress. You’ll also get to share experiences with other graduates along the way.

What We Are Looking For

Numbers are your speciality. But more than that, your flair for numeracy is backed by a drive to deliver outstanding customer service, honed analytical skills and a sharp commercial acumen. With a

  • 2:1 in a relevant degree (achieved or expected),

  • 280 UCAS points from 3 A-levels (or equivalent)

  • A real commitment to gaining your CIMA qualification whilst working to the best of your ability.

  • Exceptional communication skills

  • Demonstrable analytical problem solving capabilities

This rotational scheme offers a 360˚view of IT with insights into commercial business areas including the all-important overseas placement allowing you to experience our customer’s journey.

What You Will Be Doing

You will experience 4 rotations across 2 years in the following functions:

  • Portfolio Management– Experience life as a project executive or business analyst working on business critical change projects from cruise ships to retail stores.

  • IT Engineering– Responsible for the end to end delivery of business requirements including solution design, development, testing, and release management.

  • IT Security– Help protect our business from vulnerabilities and work with the business to steer away from risks.

  • IT Architecture– Research new technology and look at ways this could be implemented in to the current TUI estate to bring real business value.

  • Service Delivery– As a Service Support Analyst your role is to minimise the impact of service related issues and improve the service quality to the highest levels expected by stakeholders.

  • As a graduate you will have the chance to work with senior stakeholders across all of your rotation. You will also have the opportunity to present your ideas to a member of the TUI board as part of a cross-functional graduate project.

What We Are Looking For

We’re looking for Business-Savvy Technologists – commercially aware individuals who are analyticallogical thinkinghave a real passion for technology and travel,  results-drivenmotivated team playersable to thrive under pressure and excellent communication skills (fluent English is essential). You’ll also have leadership potential and the ambition to build a career in IT.

As well as all of that, we are looking for:

  • A BSc (or MSc) degree in a STEM subject

  • A predicted or achieved grade of 2:1

  • An innovative & entrepreneurial mind set

  • You have an interest in development practices and like to keep up to date with the wider tech industry

  • Basic technical understanding/knowledge of IT Engineering (coding, testing etc.) would be advantageous.

The Programme

 

We will commit to providing you with a development programme, in which you will be placed into one of a number of roles across IT, Finance, Analytics and Commercial areas. These could support various aspects of our business whether it’s our retail stores and websites (Distribution), the planes we fly (Airline) or our holidays (Tour Operations). As a graduate participant, you will deliver high profile projects and initiatives, which will benefit our organisation, the business stakeholders that lead our business and your professional capabilities.

At TUI, we will shape you as a potential leader, by providing developmental workshops, training courses, coaching and support through offering a mentor/ buddy throughout your journey as a graduate participant. Part of the programme may involve working overseas in a customer facing role at one of our holiday resorts, where you will experience first-hand the holiday experiences that we deliver to customers.
