At A Glance

As a three-year rotational programme, you’ll get the best grounding possible into our business – all of which is designed to set you up as a future financial leader. This means you could be assigned in a number of roles across any aspect of our business. There are five core areas: Retail/Distribution supports our stores; Airline takes care of our planes; Cruise looks after our ships; Tour Operator keeps our holiday finances in check and Reporting and Financial Accounting underpins the bottom-line financials across the business.

What You Will be Doing

From day one you’ll be doing a real job. But we’ll also support you in your personal and professional development to ensure you’re equipped to reach your potential. We’ll fully fund you on your path to attaining a CIMA qualification, including BPP tuition, study materials and additional study leave – after all it’s very much in our interest that you pass.

Our support structure is also exemplary with a buddy to help you settle quickly into your role, a senior finance mentor who’ll pass on vital knowledge and your line manager who’ll help make sure you progress. You’ll also get to share experiences with other graduates along the way.

What We Are Looking For

Numbers are your speciality. But more than that, your flair for numeracy is backed by a drive to deliver outstanding customer service, honed analytical skills and a sharp commercial acumen. With a

  • 2:1 in a relevant degree (achieved or expected),

  • 280 UCAS points from 3 A-levels (or equivalent)

  • A real commitment to gaining your CIMA qualification whilst working to the best of your ability.

  • Exceptional communication skills

  • Demonstrable analytical problem solving capabilities

Technology Development Programme

The Scheme

You’ll spend two invaluable years working right at the heart of our business – with real responsibilities, and the chance to work on real projects.  You’ll gain a unique insight into our exciting and dynamic industry, with exposure to many other functional areas and senior colleaguesas well as the opportunity to enhance your professional skills through an extensive and tailored programme of learning and development.  You’ll have lots of fun during your time with us, and we’ll ensure you get the support you need every step of the way.

And, when you join our Technology Development Programme, you’ll be joining TUI as a permanent colleague.

What you will be doing

Our Level 7 Digital and Technology Solutions Specialist apprenticeship is a two-year programme of study, alongside working in our Northern Region Technology team in a full-time role.  You’ll have the opportunity to gain an MSc in Digital and Technology Solutions, whilst building a rewarding career in our innovative and dynamic Technology team.

Apprenticeships are a great way to get on the job training, helping you to learn new skills, reach your goals and earn qualifications whilst getting paid.  They’re also fully funded.  What’s not to love?

We have a learning culture at TUI, enabling you to continually develop technological, business and management skills.  We also provide exposure to business areas in our industry leading organisation outside Technology to give you a breadth of knowledge to help you fast track your career.

We’re currently working in partnership with two leading universities to deliver the programme; Manchester Metropolitan and Sheffield Hallam.  To be eligible for this programme, you need to have a degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) subject.  You need to have lived in the UK for at least 3 years before the apprenticeship starts, have the right to work in England and have an eligible residency status.

There are 11 technical specialisms available to study through the apprenticeship – at TUI, we’re offering either Software Engineering or IT Strategy.  If you’re interested in a career in Technology and passionate about either of these pathways, we’ll work with you to agree which programme would be the right fit for you.

What we are looking for

You’ll have BScDegree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM). With a flair for numbers and an entrepreneurial mind-set, you’ll also have the ability to effectively balance work and study commitments.

We’re looking for agile-minded, innovative thinkers, who are keen to learn and take on new challenges.  Those who have a flair for collaborating with others, a natural drive for results, and are able to think strategically about the business.  Adaptable individuals with a talent for thinking analytically, and a focus on providing unrivalled service to our customers.

You’ll be emotionally resilient, with the ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment. You’ll have natural communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong sense of commercial awareness, leadership potential, and the ability to make brave decisions.

You’ll also have a passion for technology, as well an interest/experience in the travel industry.
