I joined TUI back in the Winter of 2014/15 as a Team Leader so that I could do that one winter season I always wanted to do, but never got round to.
Within a couple of months of working in the East of Austria, I had fallen in love with the life style and living and working in the mountains. Although I had been in a management role for many years before this, some of the scenarios I had to deal with during that first winter were completely different and a whole new challenge which made the job both interesting and rewarding.
When it came to placements for the following Summer, I loved the sound of the TUI Lakes and Mountains programme and applied for a Team Leader position. I was successful and ended up being placed in St Wolfgang, Austria and completely fell in love with this beautiful lakeside town. The following Winter saw me switch to the West of Austria in Obergurgl and the best Apres bar ever – the Nederhutte.
After a wonderful time in Austria I decided to seek new opportunities and head to Finland to experience a different way of life and all the exciting activities. Continuing my journey with the company and having a world of opportunities to choose from I felt Italy was calling and was placed in the wonderful Dolomites national park in Val di Fassa.
Having worked 7 seasons in 3 countries, I have seen the qualities that are needed to be successful in the different Crystal Ski roles and I am now really looking forward to meeting all our new potential recruits and giving them the opportunity to experience working abroad for the biggest and best ski company.
