Applying for the job of Operations Executive in Austria was the best decision I have ever made. I have always worked in administration jobs and had always wanted to work abroad and this job ticked both of those boxes. When I first arrived I was made to feel so welcome and everyone was really nice, I was given brilliant training to prepare me to do my job and was never made to feel silly when I asked questions.
Being an Operations Executive you get to do such a large variety of tasks from driving to working at the airport on transfer days to various administration tasks to support the rep teams in resort so being flexible is a must. The work is really varied and interesting and I have learnt so much in such a short time about an industry I had not worked in previously, seeing how much work goes on behind the scenes was a real eye opener!
The office can be really busy at times but at the end of the day I really take pleasure from knowing that I supported my colleagues in resort and helped our customers have the best holiday experience possible. Living in the mountains means that I get to do things on my days off that I wouldn’t normally get to do at home, skiing, hiking, visiting other resorts in the mountains and having days out to nearby cities are just a few things that Austria have to offer. I absolutely love my job and the people that I work with.
