What is the TUI Management Degree Apprenticeship?

The TUI Management Degree Apprenticeship is a Level 6 Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship (BA Hons).

Is there eligibility criteria to meet?

There is a list of eligibility criteria however, this is our guide and it is ‘you’ that we are really interested in.

Will I have to go through a selection process?

It is important that we ensure you have the intellectual capability and the commitment to undertake this degree programme, so there will be some assessment to make sure this is the right thing for you.

How long does the TUI Management Degree Apprenticeship take?

The programme is spread across four calendar years and is split into 3 x 16 month academic years.

When does the TUI Management Degree Apprenticeship start?

Your employment with us would start in August 2018 for induction and familiarisation and then the University programme would start in September.

What does the programme of learning look like?

The programme is split into 3 x 16 month learning years and includes 5 x 5 days of block learning sessions per year.  In addition to the block learning on campus based at the University of Hertfordshire, there are also facilitated On-line Modules,  Reflective Learning, Business Projects, Self-study and Action Learning Sets.

Is it full time or part time learning?

The TUI Management Degree Apprenticeship is a part time study degree and has  been designed to be completed whilst in a full time TUI role.  You’ll get time away from the office for your formal ‘on-campus’ study, however, there will be a requirement for you to complete self-study in your own time.

Where will the learning take place?

The block learning sessions will take place at the University of Hertfordshire, De Havilland Campus, in Hatfield.  All other learning will take place back in your workplace ‘on the job’ or completed in your own time.

Will I be learning with other TUI colleagues or members of the public?

The TUI Management Degree Apprenticeship  is a ‘closed’ programme for TUI colleagues only however, there will be opportunities for you to join other UH students as part of ‘open’ forum activities i.e. lectures which will be going on at the University throughout the duration of your programme.

Who will deliver my learning?

The TUI Management Degree Apprenticeship will be co-delivered by faculty at the University of Hertfordshire and TUI business experts.

Where is the University of Hertfordshire?

The University of Hertfordshire is based in Hatfield, approximately 15 minutes from Luton.
