In a nutshell, what does your job involve?

I work in our contact centre answering incoming phone calls and emails.  My main role would be to use my knowledge and experience to research and suggest various different ski resorts that would not only meet but also exceed our customers’ requirements to allow our customers to have the most memorable and enjoyable holiday experience.

Tell us a little bit about your back ground? When did you start working for Crystal?

I have spent the past 20 + years working and travelling within the Travel and Tourism industry.  For 16 winter season’s, I taught skiing in some of the most incredible Ski resorts scattered around Europe, North America and New Zealand.  Teaching skiing in the winters allowed me to work in a number of roles in the summers, whether these roles were based in the UK or overseas it has been a real enjoyment.  5 years ago I came across a job opportunity working within Crystal Ski, in a permanent UK role and I have not looked back.

What do you enjoy most about working at Crystal Contact Centre?

As an ex seasonal worker, the idea of an office based job did scare me a little.  However, using my knowledge and experience and being able to talk (sometimes too much) passionately about the industry/sport/hobby that I enjoy has allowed me to grow within our company.   Also it must be said, that the perks of experiencing new resorts that I would not have necessarily come across by myself has made me find some unforgettable traditional destinations.

Name 3 things in life that makes you smile?

  • Very passionate about mountaineering.  Summiting a mountain that I have spent the past 12 months training for

  • The perks within in the travel industry – Skiing whistler last season due to the perks of the industry

  • Hearing the cannons blasting in the morning after a big snow storm, and knowing it’s going to be an epic powder day on the slopes
